PHOTOGRAPHS

  • It can be extremely important to document your damages with photographic evidence. In this day in age, you can not take too many photographs. If you are taking photographs of your vehicle make sure you are taking them as close up and as clear as possible. Thankfully, high quality photographs can now be generated with any type of smart phone. If you know how to do it, the photographs should contain a time and date stamp. If you do not know how to do it, make sure you make a note of when you took the photographs. If you did not take them, take note of who took them and any witnesses of the taking of photographs.
  • Although documenting property damage is important, we must make sure that we document personal injury. This should not only be photographs of injuries following your accident, but there should be photographs that document your recovery. GC Law suggests that photographs should be taken of visible injuries every 2 weeks. This is important to demonstrate the recovery time and eventually if it is unfortunate enough to happen to you document permanent scarring.
  • If you have any questions regarding documenting your property or personal injury damages do not hesitate to contact GC Law for answers.
